TechnoVisual supplies a large range of products including the usual promotional items such as flyers, banners, folded leaflets, post cards, booklets, business cards, presentation folders and office stationery but also more bespoke and creative items including the full range of wedding and event stationary, menus and price lists, labels and presentation packages.

Shorter runs and Creative prints are all done in-house and most of the prices on the page below are for these items, however, we can also offer some excellent prices for large format prints, such as PVC banners and exibition printing, plus large volume litho prints on things like post cards, flyers (all sizes and folded) booklets, invites, business cards, folders and stickers - please call for a price - 01280 815161

Our charge for any design work is a straight £35.00 per hour, compared to the average £50.00 per hour charged by many design studios.  TechnoVisual will always check your artwork and no extra cost to make sure it is ready for print before going ahead.  We also offer a layout and adjustment service and proof reading if you feel this is necessary. Our prototyping and proofing service is second to none for short run prints, we understand the importance of seeing and feeling the printed item before going ahead with production.  See more detail on prototypes and proofing in the section below. 

The printing processes we employ include; litho printing, digital printing, large format inkjet, and simple foil printing, we will always advise on the best print type for your job.  We only use high quality media and stock have a vast number of paper and card types with varying grades and weights, depending on the finish you are looking for.

We have 4 main recycled and textured card; A dark flecked recycled Kraft card, Linen Effect, which is a very high quality fine textured card, Hammer card or salt and pepper card for a raw highly textured look.  Other paper and card types are available for products such as cards and invites e,g, silk, gloss and matt  card in white and vellum a lovely card called Ice Gold, which prints beautifully and has a gold sheen to it and lastly we do coloured marbled effect paper in a number of shades.  We can also offer different types of laminate and film finish on things like folders and business cards.  If you don't see what you are looking for below, it doesn't mean that we don't offer that service. 

We can adapt to suit your budget and your design and are always happy to try out something new if it is within our capability and you are happy to pay any development costs incurred.  If we do use a new media, which isn't a 'stock item' we are happy to make a personal order for you, on the proviso that you will cover the costs for this special order and this will always be made clear to you at quotation stage.

TechnoVisual has the facility to make up, print, scan, enhance, re-size or simply copy material which you have prepared. Alternatively, our graphic designers can design the item for you at a charge of £35.00 per hour plus vat.   We can also offer further services in-house including product photography and videos for YouTube, websites and DVD, please see the video page button for more details.

PROOFING SERVICE 

STANDARD PROOFING SERVICE FOR SHORT PRINT-RUNS AND BESPOKE ITEMS

For any printed items designed by ourselves, we would always send a jpg or pdf of the item via email free of charge for checking and proof reading purposes. We would advise having a printed proof as well for most of the short run and bespoke prints supplied at TechnoVisual.  For more standard print materials such as flyers and post cards we will offer a proofing service for just £6.00 plus vat.  This one-off proof will be sent to you for your review before commencing the job and it will come in the form of a flat print, which will often consist of the full product, i.e. a flyer, leaflet or post card, printed on the correct paper or card as specified and using the printer best suited to your print run.   This one-off copy will give you peace of mind, as you will see the finish, layout, quality and colouring of the product before fully committing to the run and it can be used for proof reading. Without seeing a proof first we can not then be held responsible for any problems with the final run.

For proofs of larger or more complex printed items, which involve more set up and production time e.g. a package or booklet, the charge for a one-off printed proof may be more and this will be shown on quotation.

It is not possible to offer a printed proof for larger volume litho printed jobs because of the set-up time involved, but we will always send you the print ready PDF for approval before we start the run.

Whether we supply the artwork or you prefer to send a final version of your own design, once the online, or printed proof has been checked, approved and payment made, we can not then be responsible for mistakes in text or layout found in the final run or any time thereafter.

TechnoVisual can provide a graphic design/layout service for you if this is something you require at a cost of £35.00 per hour plus vat.  However, if you would prefer to send in your own artwork for us to use for printing, we would ask that you use any templates or specifcation that we have supplied and we do insist that it is the final version and ready to print.

This type of binding gives a lovely, very professional finish which has the same finished result as soft or hard back book.  The pages are glued along the spine into the cover.  We can offer a number of different colour covers for this type of binding, but we only hold two colours in stock; blue and white.

Thermal binding costs are worked out the same way as the wire or comb binding shown above with all the same options - please use the same table to work out the cost per printed pages.

Covers we offer have a clear front and a leather grain back at 250gsm, the size of spine vaires depending on the quantity of pages e.g. 1.5mm (up to 10 x 80gsm pages) 3mm (up to 30 x 80gsm pages) and 6mm (up to 60 x 80gsm pages).

please remember that for stapled booklets, covers or inner pages requiring print to the edge of the page (full bleed) there will be an extra 20% charge on all the pages of the book, this is because we have to print onto a larger size of paper and then cut down to size after the printing and binding process has finished, which greatly adds to the labour time required for each booklet.

To work out the cost per booklet - count the number of pages (sides) per booklet (printed or non-printed) then multiply this by the number of booklets in the run, find the equivalent figure in the correct table below to give you the cost level per page.  If most of the inside pages are printed on both sides of the leaf then this is considered to be 'two side printing.'  

EXAMPLE COSTING - A 24 page A5 portrait booklet to be stapled/stiched with a 200gsm silk coated cover.  The cover is to be printed with full bleed on the outer pages only and the booklet will have full colour on most pages (24 pages in total including the cover).  The 20 x inside pages to be printed on 120gsm quality matt paper in full colour with print on both sides of the page.  On a run of 100 copies:

20 inside pages  x 100 copies gives 2000 full colour printed pages and print on both sides of the leaf.  The cost per page from the A5 Staple Bound table below using 120gsm matt paper will be 10p per page.  Even though the inside pages of this booklet have a white margin, the covers are full coverage (Full Bleed) so we need to add 20%. 20 x inside pages @ 12p = £2.40 per booklet

4 x cover pages  x 100 copies gives 400 sides with no margin (full bleed) and print on one side of the leaf only.  The cost per printed page from the A5 Staple Bound table below using 200gsm silk card will be 12p plus 15% = 14p per side/page.  As we need full bleed on these pages, add 20% to this cost per page but as the 4 pages are printed on one side of the leaf  (front and back of the book only), 20% can be deducted from the page cost . 4 outside pages 14p each = 56p per booklet. 

TOTAL PER BOOKLET = £2.96 each = FULL TOTAL FOR 100 BOOKLETS -  £296.00 (no vat)

TechnoVisual can supply white presentation binders for hole punched pages.  For a fair thickness of paper it is best to go for a 4 ring binder and we can supply a number of thicknesses of D ring.  These are good quality binders with a polythene covering on the front and spine so that a printed cover can be added, they also have a polythene pocket on the inside cover.  We can also add business card pockets and CD pockets.

To work out the cost per booklet - count the number of sides/pages per booklet whether they are printed or not, then multiply this by the number of booklets in the run, find the equivalent figure in the correct table below to give you the cost level per printed page.  Then add on the cost of the coil/comb itself and any extras such as the usual acetate front cover and leather grain card back cover (see costs below depending on quantity of books required).  Use the A4 section for hole punched or corner stapled documents, we don't charge any extra for this type of binding.

FOR  EXAMPLE -

A 20 page A4 booklet to be Wire Coil Bound with an acetate front cover and a leather grain back cover.  Pages to be printed on 130gsm silk paper, in black print (no colour) with single side printing only, on a run of 50 copies:

20 pages x 50 copies gives 1000 pages with black only print and the cost from the A4 Wire Coil Bound table below using 130gsm silk paper will be 16p per page.  As we only need black print only take 20% off this cost per page and also single side print only so take off a further 20% on the costs below to give 10p per page/side. 

The cost per booklet will be 10p x 20 pages = £2.00 each, plus the acetate front @ 50p and leather grain back @ 50p plus the coil bind itself @ 75p = £3.75 and the full cost for the run of 50 will be  = £187.50 (no vat)

BESPOKE BOOKS, ALBUMS & PORTFOLIOS 

 

TechnoVisual are happy to make bespoke books, albums or portfolios to present your work in a unique and stylish way.  A book of this type can be A6, A5 or A4 in size we can also work with custom sizes if required.  Such books can be bound using staples, or coil binding depening on the number of pages

Covers can and made with printed and laminated card either as a thinner single layer coating or a double layer cover which acts as a perfect bind around the whole album.  We have used an outer cover of chosen material to give a wedding or birthing book that special touch.

Inner pages are normally printed either on matt or silk coated paper and we can even use photocard if you want the artwork to look very special and extras such as parchment can be used for added effect.

For a single item or a very short run these books do take a lot of time to design and set up and are made completely by hand.  We charge each project according to our time and the materials used.  Please call to discuss your project and we can offer a quote.
